King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1, has lost his favourite daughter, Wasilat.
The daughter, by whose name K1 is mostly addressed, was 34 when she died in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Canada.
Though there had been no official statement or confirmation from the family as at press time, sources confirmed the death of Wasilat, who had resided for a long time in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada.
She was said to have died during a brief illness.
She was said to be the only child her mother had for K1 before she died several years back.
One of K1’s closest allies and former manager, who is now the now Vice Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Bayo Olasoju, wrote on Tuesday: “May Almighty God give us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
“We love you but God loves you more.
“Asabi Olaronke Wasilat, continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
