Manchester United striker, Robin Van Persie, scored in the last minute against 10-men Chelsea to rescue a valuable point at Old Trafford in the English Premier League.
Manchester United started the first-half strongly, but couldn’t make their opportunities count.
Van Persie found his effort saved well by Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, who was named man of the match for his performance.
Didier Drogba came close to putting Chelsea ahead in the opening 45 minutes, but Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, was equal to it.
In the second-half, Chelsea stepped up their pressure in pursuit of a goal, and Eden Hazard came close after weaving his way through the United defence, but his effort couldn’t beat De Gea.
The resulting corner saw the visitors take the lead, with Didier Drogba’s header flying in at the near post.
But Manchester United weren’t to be denied at Old Trafford against Chelsea.
Branislav Ivanovic was given a second yellow card in the dying minutes of the game following a trip on Angel Di Maria, and the Argentinean’s free-kick saw a Marouane Fellaini header force a save from Courtois, before Van Persie followed up to level the game.
