Gunmen have shot Obong Ini Ekpo, the lawyer representing the head of the Reigners Bible Church, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Apostle Akan Weeks, at the panel of inquiry set up by the state government to probe the collapse of the church’s building.
The church building collapsed on December 10, 2016, killing 26 people.
Ekpo was shot on Thursday on both legs by gunmen who stormed his home at Osongama Housing Estate, Uyo at about 2:30pm.
He is said to be receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of an hospital in Uyo.
