The Yobe State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday ordered the Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Emmanuel Aremo, to appear before it on August 10.
The Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Mojisola Dada, gave the order following the absence of the witness on Friday.
Dada said further that the absence of the anti-graft agency scribe might force the tribunal to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.
Friday’s sitting was for the continuation of hearing in a petition filed by Adamu Waziri and the Peoples Democratic Party challenging the re-election of Governor Ibrahim Geidam on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Justice Dada adjourned the matter till August 10 for further hearing.
