A three storey building on Tuesday collapsed in Lagos State.
So also did fire completely raze a building with 11 rooms and two shops in the state on Tuesday.
According to available information as at press time on Tuesday, no life was confirmed lost in the two incidents.
The three storey building collapsed at 21, Saka Oloro Street, Ilufe Road, off Alaba International Market.
The building razed by fire is at 35, Ojo Igbędę Road, off Alaba International Market.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has confirmed the case of the collapsed building.
A statement by the General Manager of LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, said: “Situation report regarding a building collapse at Ilufe road Alaba International Market Ojo.
“On arrival at the incident scene, a 3 storey building consisting of 8 blocks of flats collapsed in the early hours of today.
“Investigation conducted at the incident scene revealed thatthe building had showed some signs of being distressed. .
“No lives lost nor injuries sustained. Recovery operation is on going by LASEMA, LABCA and other stakeholders to prevent any secondary incident of full or total collapsed that may lead to unnecessary loss of lives.”
