Hon. Daniel Gani, the Chairman of the Taraba State House of Assembly Committee on Information, said members had settled their differences for peace and progress to reign.
Gani told newsmen on Tuesday in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, that this became imperative as the House had been polarised into groups of 16 against eight.
He said: “A lot of developmental issues were left unattended to.
“The legislature is no longer divided.
“We are one united house with Hon. Josiah Kente as our Speaker.
“We have realised that we have a lot to do for the people of the state.
“We cannot afford to waste anymore time talking about differences.”
The legislature became divided when 16 members asked Alhaji Garba Umar to continue as Acting Governor until Governor Danbaba Suntai, who was involved in an air crash, recovered.
The remaining eight wanted Suntai to be in charge.
Gani stressed that the legislature now had a common agenda to discuss issues that would foster development of the state.
He advised the people to join hands with the legislature to develop the state and shun rumour mongers bent on fuelling crisis in the assembly.
