The rejection was conveyed via a letter to the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose, Executive Secretary of BON. 

At the swearing in ceremony, which took place at the Executive Council chamber, Governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the governor charged him to contribute his quota to the development of the service.
