The 17-time Olympic and World champion and double sprint world-record holder said he is looking forward to again squaring off with all his rivals, including American Justin Gatlin, as well as returning training partner, Yohan Blake

“I should have one more World Championships but I’m not too sure what I want to do after retiring. Some people say I should try acting but I think I will stay in sport and figure out what I can do,” the six-time Olympic champion added

Bolt has won back-to-back Olympic Games 100m, 200m and 4x100m titles in 2008 and 2012. He also won four straight 200m World titles between 2009 and 2015, adding to three 100m titles.

Bolt is expected to compete in the 100m at the national stadium in Kingston, with the heats taking place on June 25, followed by the semi-finals and final the following day

“Someone may come along one day and break one of my records, but to beat my legacy, they have to beat my whole body of work. So the more I can win, the greater that gets, and the harder it will be to overshadow. That’s what’s getting me out of bed now

In an era where the definition of “fast” is Bolt’s superhuman 9.58 seconds, how does he see himself keeping pace with the stratospheric standards? “The bar has been set very high on the term “very fast”. 9.8, 9.7 and hopefully 9.6 as well will come this year. So I want to go out there and dominate on a higher level,” says Gatlin, before adding, “Not just win but dominating with fast times. It was exciting for me to see someone accomplish those times. Before that I couldn’t fathom it. It opened up a new thought process for me
