The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Yaba College of Technology on Monday withdrew its services from all the part-time programmes in the college.
Nureni Yekini, ASUP Chairman in the college, made the decision of his members known at a news conference in the college, following the directive of the national body.

Yekini told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that the development was cheering to the various polytechnics across the country.
Nureni Yekini, the new Chairman of the union, gave the advice in the interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Lagos.
He said that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s action on the matter was a welcome development and would keep Yoruba Language in its pride of place.
