After a power outage in some parts of Lagos on Saturday, January 11, 2025, which many erroneously attributed to national grid collapse, Obi, in a tweet said the incessant fall of the grid which happened 12 times in 2024 has subjected Nigerians to ‘untold setback and hardship.’

Oyintiloye, while speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo, said the incessant collapse of the grid was becoming worrisome, and needed a presidential investigation panel.
