The outgoing President of CBCN, Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze, in a communiqué issued Thursday said that the decision was reached at the end of CBCN’s first 2022 plenary meeting in Abuja.

The late Abebe, who died on March 22 at the age of 99, was the father of a former First Lady, Stella Obasanjo.

The call is coming on the heels of the killing by Fulani herdsmen of two Catholic priests and 15 worshippers in a church in Mbalom, Benue State
