Olayinka said despite the fact that under the APC government of Fayemi, Ekiti State received N46.4 billion from the Excess Crude Account, N25 billion bond was taken and N31 billion commercial bank loan was obtained, adding: “In saner climes, the likes of Dapo Kolawole will be covering their faces in shame, having presided over the unprecedented looting of Ekiti State treasury and plunging of the State into unwarranted debt

Olayinka, who said Fayose will not dignify the former governors with any response, added: “As someone who worked diligently with Engr Segun Oni when he was governor and out of office, I know that the same way he (Oni) described Fayose as a tragedy was the way he used to tell us then that Fayemi would end up in jail. But did he not mount the rostrum to campaign for the re-election of the same Fayemi that he said would be jailed?”

Olayinka, who reacted to a statement by the APC that Fayose was not telling the truth about the financial status of the state and that the current allocation to Ekiti State was enough to pay workers’ salary, said: “In a normal clime, members of a party that ruled Ekiti for four years, borrowing billions of naira to plant flowers that were never seen, thereby plunging the State into debt would bury their heads in shame
