The All Progressives Congress has said that it supports the ongoing global efforts to check the proliferation of fake news, particularly as the country gears up for campaigns ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Lanre Onilu, the APC National Publicity Secretary, stated this while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja saying it was without prejudice to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s stance.
