An X user, #Dannysleek, in a now deleted tweet, had on Saturday raised an alarm that a maid hired through an agency absconded with the baby.

They said they had earlier met with the authority of the area development council, which failed to address their demand.

It was gathered that the inferno affected many shops, with traders watching helplessly as the fire destroyed their goods and other property worth millions of naira.

Ahead of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the prices of tomatoes, pepper and onions have reduced in most markets in Lagos, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
