The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom disclosed this while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday night in Abuja.

A statement by the Focal Person, Enugu SDGs Office, Hon. Mabel Agbo, which called on fresh graduates of Enugu State extraction to hurry and apply for the programme via: www.njfp.ng before the October 20, 2021 closing date, explained that “the NJFP involves a work placement process that will place young Nigerians in private and public sector organizations in the country across multiple industries and sectors”.
Fani-Kayode had stated on Wednesday when he joined the APC that Ugwanyi was one of the Governors he has been talking to with a view to leaving the PDP for the ruling party.
The victims made the appeal on Sunday in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Gov. Ugwuanyi had through a statement earlier issued by the Commissioner for Information, Nnanyelugo Chidi Aroh, commiserated with the families that lost their loved ones as a result of the adulterated petroleum product as well as victims who suffered bodily injuries or loss of property.
Ugwuanyi also saluted the labour of the founding fathers of the state as well as all past leaders, both the living and those of blessed memory.
The State stated its position in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Nnanyelugo Aroh, on Saturday.
These are in addition to the more than 100 conventional vaccination centres previously opened in the state.
Ugwuanyi made the announcement when he addressed a delegation from the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU), comprising members of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) and Medical and Health Workers Sector Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), at the Government House, Enugu.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students Affairs, Chidi Ilogebe, disclosed that 37 evacuated students returned safely to Enugu yesterday, 28 were conveyed to Abuja to join their loved ones while others were taken to their various homes within Plateau and surrounding areas based on their requests, amid tight security.
Lawal also used the opportunity of the visit to assure Ugwuanyi of his determination to emplace and further improve on existing policing strategies towards curbing existing and emerging security challenges in the state.
Speaking at the event in Enugu, Ugwuanyi, who is also the club’s president, said his administration would continue to pay special attention to sports development in the state.
He also announced the payment of three months salaries of their late husbands, as well as other cash donations.
Ugwuanyi made the remarks while declaring open the zonal public hearing of the Senate Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, holding in Enugu, for Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi states.

Ugwuanyi, during the AMLSN’s 15th National Annual Public Health Lecture Series, in Abuja, the President of the association, Prof. James Garba Damen, disclosed that it was a well deserved honour, stressing that the medical body chose the governor after a painstaking and objective assessment of his administration’s commitment towards the containment of the pandemic.
Gov. Ugwuanyi who made the call when he received in audience a delegation from the commission, led by its Chairman, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, at the Government House, Enugu, noted that the published population of Enugu State, in the 2006 Census, which stood at 3, 267,837, was “a gross under-representation of our population size”.
Prior to the arrival of the governor, the Enugu State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the Enugu State Fire Service and the Chairman of Enugu East LGA, Hon. Alex Ugwu, had promptly reported to the accident scene to apply safety measures towards safeguarding lives and property.
