The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Obaseki winner of the LGA in an announcement in the early hours of Sunday at its collation centre in Benin.

Governor Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the party, said this on Friday during the ward-to-ward campaign rally at Ward 8, Ward 10, and Uselu Market in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

Shaibu who is also the Chairman of Committee on Local Government Harmonised Levies, effected the arrest, in company of the Chairman of the local government, Eghe Ogbemudia.
