As the 23rd edition of the National Women’s Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials ended on Thursday, a new landlady of a three-bedroom apartment in the Sangotedo area of Lagos State and a brand-new GAC salon car owner have emerged in the Raffle Draw section of the Conference, among other star prize winners.
Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor, on Tuesday, openly pitched his tent with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, endorsing the Lagos Governor for second term.
Dr. Sanwo-Olu, a medical doctor by profession, clocks 55 years today, Saturday January 8, 2022.
COWLSO Chairman and First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu said this at a press conference held at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja to announce activities lined up for the 21st National Women’s Conference of the Committee which is scheduled to hold between 26th and 28th October 2021 at The Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
She also appealed for understanding on the decision of the state government to ban the commercial motorcycles (popularly known as Okada), saying it was important for the provisions of relevant laws to be enforced to sanitize the environment.
The Committee said high maternal mortality would not augur well for the nation, urging all stakeholders, especially the Government, to initiate actions that would address the problem, with the aim to stem the growth.
