This charge was given on Friday by the Publicity Secretary of APC in Ogun State, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, in Abeokuta, when the councilorship candidates paid him a courtesy visit in company of the Ijebu East Local Government Party Chairman, Otunba Balogun Adebayo.

In a statement by its secretary-general, Chief Willy Ezugwu, to commemorate Democracy Day, CNPP noted that the APC-led government has carried on “theoretically” in the last six years as pro-June 12, but has, in practice, exhibited anti-democratic tendencies, either by oversight or consciously.

Was that because I work with a President elected on the platform of the APC? Not necessarily so. Yes, I’ve never really liked the PDP because I felt there was too much of buccaneering in the party, but I’d always been honest enough to give some governors in the fold of the party who were doing well their dues. I always mentioned Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State (he was still in PDP then), Danjuma Goje of Gombe State, and some others. They stood out for the good works in their states.

The party said such attitude represents conduct unbecoming of Fayose’s high position in a constitutional democracy.
The party also frowned at the governor’s contempt for separation of powers as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, noting that arrogating the powers of the parliament to himself is a brazen trampling on the law

Madumere said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja while reacting to the election results.
He said that the victory was a referendum by the people of Ondo State to join the “progressives” in reengineering Nigeria
