The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kehinde Bamigbetan, stated this on Monday while kick-starting the annual Ministerial Press Briefing of the State Government held at Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting held at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja to sensitize owners of hotels, restaurants, bars and event centres in the State on the new regulation, the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, said automation of the system was introduced to address the high level of under-payment and non-remittance of what is due to government, however, assuring that it would be a win-win situation for all parties.
Governor Ambode, who spoke at the Thanksgiving Service to commemorate this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, held at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, said his administration will continue to set the standard and be a model for the promotion of the welfare of ex-service men so as to add immense value to their lives.
Speaking at the State Executive Chambers in Alausa, Ikeja while swearing-in five newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Governor Ambode said since assumption of office on May 29, 2015, efforts have been made to fulfill the promises made to Lagosians, and that it was indeed gratifying that civil servants in the State not only keyed into his vision of a vibrant Lagos but have also been working hard and committed to making the plan a reality.
Ambode said it was gratifying that a team from the State would be participating in the 2018 edition of the continental tournament after such a long time, just as he pledged to assist the team with the necessary support to ensure successful campaign at the championship.
In preparation for the resumption of academic exercise in Lagos State Schools on Monday, the State Government has lined up a series of sensitization meetings on the management of the risks associated with the Ebola Virus Disease with major stakeholders in the education sector.
