Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMCON, Ahmed Kuru, who disclosed in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Sunday, said that the N5.4 trillion debt had lingered for too long.
He said: “Up to the financial year of 2017, we have recovered a total of N740 billion. Of course, we have a lot of substantial assets that we are holding in terms of real estate and some other forms of assets.
Kuru is expected to speak on the topic: “AMCON’s Intervention in Transport and Allied Sector, Achievements, Challenges, Prospects,” in the lecture scheduled for April 26, 2018 in Lagos State.
The corporation said this in a statement issued after a meeting with the management of the EFCC on Thursday in Lagos
