The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya stated this on Thursday at the Schools’ Agric Quiz Competition for students of public senior secondary schools in the state as part of activities lined up to celebrate Y2021 World Food Day in the state.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya gave the assurance in Lagos today at the flag-off of the 4th edition of the State Ministry of Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development Institute’s Training Programme.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture,  Abisola Olusanya who made this known over the weekend in Lagos when she received members of the Maize Farmers‘ Association of Nigeria, explained that the meeting cannot be over emphasized in view of the opportunities available for the sourcing of silage from the partnership.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Hakeem Adeniji signed on behalf of the State Government while the Chief Operating Officer/Director, Israel Tommy; and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Adeyemi Adeshina both signed on behalf of Dula Agro-Services Limited (Dula).

Abisola Olusanya, the state’s Commissioner for Agriculture disclosed this while speaking at the closing ceremony of the programme where no fewer than 97 Senior Secondary School Agricultural Science students, Agricultural Science teachers and Education Desk Officers were trained at the Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority in Oko-Oba Agege.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya who disclosed this in Lagos over the weekend explained that the collaboration would also ensure the rehabilitation of coconut grooves and the creation of over 500,000 job opportunities and wealth through training, capacity building and empowerment of youths and women in the State in the coconut value chain.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture,  Abisola Olusanya who made this known in Lagos explained that the exercise was in continuation of the state government’s sanitization and reform of the red meat value chain with the goal of producing wholesome meat for the consumption of its citizenry.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya who made this known in Lagos at a press briefing in commemoration of the second year in office of the Sanwo-Olu’s administration in the state explained that the access roads when completed would aid better movement to and from the farms; reduce losses particularly by egg farmers occasioned by broken eggs as a result of bad road and subsequently improve the productivity of the concerned farmers.
