The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111, has congratulated the muslim ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting.
Oba Oyewumi, in a goodwill message signed by his secretary, Toyin Ajamu, said: “I would like to congratulate the muslim community in Nigeria on this year’s eid-el-fitr celebration.
“We appreciate Almighty Allah for giving the muslim faithful the opportunity of witnessing the special and holy month of Ramadan.
“Despite the end of the Ramadan, it is important to rededicate our lives to the teachings of the holy Quran as taught by Prophet Mohammed.
“Peace, unity, togetherness and harmony that characterized the holy month must be sustained in order for the muslim faithful and Nigerians alike to live a life dedicated to God and humanity.
“We should see this Sallah season as a period of sober reflection as individuals and as a nation.
“May Almighty Allah grant everyone the attendant blessings of Ramadan.”
The monarch used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to remain steadfast and selfless in their daily lives, noting that those at the helm of affairs must make the people’s welfare their priority in order to make the nation great.
Oba Oyewumi, while wishing the muslim faithful a fulfilling eid-el-fitr celebration admonished them to pray for the success of President Buhari’s administration.
