Nigerian-born Akpo Sodje has been cleared to play for Tranmere away to Carlisle United in a League One fixture this weekend after being released on bail.
The former Huddersfield Town player was one of the six people arrested as part of a football spot-fixing probe.
Sodje has been held by the police.
Also arrested were two of his brothers, Sam Sodje and Steven Sodje.
The remaining three are Ian Goodison, Cristian Montano and DJ Campbell.
It was reported that an undercover investigator met former Portsmouth and Reading player, Sam Sodje, who allegedly said he could arrange for footballers in the Championship to get themselves yellow cards in return for tens of thousands of pounds.
The 34-year-old claimed he could rig Premier League games and even said he was preparing to fix matches at next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
Just like Sam, Akpo was arrested for fixing spot and readiness to receive yellow card in exchange for cash in England.
