Seven down, two to go: INEC declares Buhari winner in Kebbi

President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress has won the presidential election in Kebbi State held on Thursday.

President Buhari polled 581,552 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, who scored 154,282 votes.

With the release of the result from Kebbi State, there are only two more outstanding states.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had before going on a break from which it returned at about 8:30pm, announced the results from 27 States and the Federal Capital Territory.
