The Federal Roads Safety Commission, Kano State Command said seven persons died in an auto crash on Bagadawa-Mil Tara-Katsina road on Thursday.
The FRSC Sector Commander in Kano, Garba Ibrahim, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday that the accident occurred at about 7.30pm, adding that nine persons were also injured in the crash.
Ibrahim said the accident involved three vehicles, including an articulated vehicle with registration number KTN 628AA and two Toyota buses with registration numbers AA106KKH and GNN26AA.
Ibrahim said the accident involved 26 people while the remains of the dead and those injured were taken to the hospital.
He said the FRSC personnel responded promptly to a distress call by a Good Samaritan immediately after the accident and advised drivers to be careful when they drive.
