Super Eagles’ gaffer, Gernot Rohr, is not leaving any stone unturned as the country prepares for the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Chipolopolo of Zambia in Lusaka next month.
Our camp source hinted that the German is keeping a tab on the Zambian team as he has requested for tapes of their previous games in order to adopt a playing pattern for the tie.
The source said: “The coach (Rohr) is willing to begin the World Cup qualifiers on a good note.
“So, he is not only banking on the Prozones software to supply him with tips but he has also deployed spies to provide him all he needed about the Zambians.
“He hopes to get all the hints in next few days in order to begin strategizing for the tie away from home.”
The Super Eagles will regroup in Abuja for camping, while they would hit Lusaka, venue of the match, abroad a chartered flight from Nigeria.
Nigeria pipped Tanzania by a lone goal courtesy Kelechi Iheanacho’s wonder strike on Saturday, but failed to qualify for the 2017 edition of the African Cup of Nations.
Likewise, Zambia brought an end to what was ultimately an unsuccessful AFCON qualifying campaign with a 1-1 stalemate against Kenya in Ndola, Zambia on Sunday.
Nigeria will battle Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia in Group B for the Russia 2018 World Cup ticket.
