Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi, Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, says no fewer than one million worshipers are expected at the Great Gospel Crusade by Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, successor to the late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.
Enakirerhi, also Chairman, Planning Committee for the Great Gospel Crusade, told newsmen on Thursday in Warri, Delta State that Kolenda would lead the crusade to Warri from February 13 to 16.
He said that the crusade was organised by the Christ for All Nations in Warri.
The Christ for All Nations Ministry was founded by the late Bonnke in 1975.
Bonnke was a German-American Pentecostal Evangelist, principally known for his gospel missions throughout Africa, and had been an evangelist and missionary in Africa since 1967.
He died on December 7, 2019 in Orlando, Florida, US.
Enakirerhi said: “The crusade is being coordinated by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Christian Association of Nigeria, Bishops of Anglican Communion, Catholic Church, Baptists among others in Delta.
“We are witnesses to the great testimonies of Bonnke’s Ministry in Africa.
“We shall not forget how Bonnke held crusade in the 90s in Warri in the midst of the bitter Ijaw, Urhobo and Itsekiri crisis, and after his prayers, peace returned to Warri.
“Delta is privileged to be the first host of Great Gospel Crusade after the demise of Bonnke.
“So, we expect over one million people to attend the crusade.
“We are mobilising vehicles to convey people from all the communities in Delta.
“Boat are also provided to bring people from the riverine communities.”
Enakirerhi said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State would be the Special Guest of Honour at the four-day event.
He also said adequate security arrangement had been concluded with the Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps and other security agencies.
