The Eagle Online has gathered that the Super Eagles will host to their Greek counterparts at the PPL Park, Chester, USA in a World Cup tune-up game slated for June 3.
The game is part of a series of friendlies organized by the Major League Soccer’s commercial arm, the Soccer United Marketing.
It will be a rematch of a game from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, when Greece won 2-1.
The kickoff time for the Nigeria, Greece tie and television broadcast information are yet to be made public but the match tickets will go on sale March 17 via Major League Soccer’s website.
A series of seven games between May 29 and June 7, involving teams heading to the World Cup, plus a few others will be played.
Given the warm summer climate in the US and Nigeria’s proximity to Brazil, the MLS is also capitalising on this opportunity to host some big teams.
The Super Eagles also tackle the United States of America team on June 7 at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla.
