PPA chairman warns members against joining APC

The National Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, Chief Sam Nkire, has advised all zonal and state chairmen of the party to ignore calls from former members to join the yet-to-be-registered All Progressives Congress.
Nkire, who was reacting to text messages emanating from former members in Kaduna and Sokoto States, warned that any PPA member who attends any meeting for merger with other political parties would be punished according to the provisions of the constitution of the party.
Chief Nkire made it clear that the PPA was not at the moment in any merger talk with any political party or any group of political parties and therefore urged members to be patient and wait for direction from the national leadership of PPA.
The PPA boss noted that a merger was the most rigorous and difficult process of all political marriages, adding: “PPA would not just merge for the fun of it.”
He further advised individuals and political parties wooing those who claim to be PPA members to join their merger, to do proper investigation to know the right people to enter into agreement with.
Chief Nkire said lazy and money-seeking politicians, who assume that the leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was standing at the door with a bag full of money, may soon be disappointed.
According to the PPA national chairman, PPA will go into an alliance or merger if and when necessary.
