As his tenure draws to the final stage, the Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has asked royal fathers and the people of the state to forgive him in areas he had wronged them.
Aliyu made this appeal on Thursday when the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, led by the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, paid him a Sallah homage at the Government House, Minna.
He acknowledged that in the course of his administration, he may have offended a lot of people, pleading that they should not take it personal.
Earlier, Abubakar called on everyone to be security conscious, praying that areas where terrorism has taken over would experience peace.
Speaking on the 2015 election, he urged politicians to follow the rules of the game, adding that politics should not be a do or die affair.
The Emir then called on the electorate to ensure that they register and vote during elections and prayed for peaceful elections.
