The Presidential Election Petition Court has commenced the delivery of judgement in the petition filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The APM is seeking the nullification of the election of President Bola Tinubu on the grounds that the Vice President, Kashim Shettma, was not validly nominated.

The petitioner alleged that Shettima was not qualified to contest the last presidential election because he allegedly submitted himself for double nomination in violation of Section 35 of the Electoral Act.
The PEPC Chairman, Justice Haruna Tsammani, was reading the lead judgement as at press time.
