Five people, including a pastor, have been abducted by gunmen on Saturday morning in Ekiti State.
Local sources told a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria in Ado Ekiti that the victims included one Pastor Ojo; his driver, Jimoh; and three others.
They were said to be travelling in two vehicles on Ise Ekiti Road in Ise/Orun Local Government Area of the state when they were abducted.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Alberto Adeyemi, confirmed the incident.
Adeyemi said two of the victims had been released and the police were on the trail of the hoodlums to rescue the remaining three persons.
Adeyemi urged residents to help the police with useful information to track down criminals in the state.
NAN reports that kidnappers on Friday night released the state Administrative Secretary of INEC, Dr. Muslim Omoleke, who was abducted in Iwaraja, Osun State.
