The Oodua People’s Congress has announced the dismissal of two members of the organization in Lagos state for engaging in activities considered “obnoxious and contrary to the sacred tenets of the Congress.
Those dismissed are Messrs Rasaq Arogundade a.ka. ‘Sadam’ and Amsat Musiliu a.k.a ‘Biggy’.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Coordinator of OPC, Alhaji Mutair Adeshina, “Despite several warnings and attempts by the elders of the congress to ensure that this duo toe the line of responsibility as members of the Congress, they continued to behave in a manner that is capable of bringing the esteem name of the congress into disrepute.
“Therefore, in a meeting of the State Coordinating Council (SCC), during which this matter came up for discussion, it was unanimously agreed that the two should be restrain from all activities of the congress.
“By this decision therefore both, Messrs Rasaq Arogundade (Sadam), Amsat Musiliu (Biggy) henceforth ceased to be members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) and all privileges hitherto accorded them as members of the Congress summarily withdrawn,” he said.
