Super Eagles’ rock solid defender, Kenneth Omeruo, is close to realising his dreams of featuring for former UEFA Champions League champions, Chelsea, as the player passed his medicals at the west London club on Friday.
Omeruo was given a clean bill of health after going through a routine of medical checks at the Blues’s medical centre.
The Afcon 2013 winner will now open fresh round of negotiations with Chelsea officials on Monday despite being pencilled down by Jose Mourinho for the League Cup games when the season starts.
The former Ado Den Haag of Holland star is expected to hook up with the rest of the squad when they return from their tour of the United States of America on August 12.
The youngster had little or no time to process an entry visa to America following a delay he suffered back in Nigeria.
Before this recent incident, Omeruo was touted to replace injured Tomas Kalas as the team progress in their pre-season tour.
