New Chelsea sign on, Kenneth Omeruo, is determined to make a success of his loan stint at Dutch Eredivisie club, Ado Den Haag, in order to force himself into reckoning at his parent club, Chelasea FC of England, and the Nigerian senior national team, the Super Eagles.
The former U17 and U20 international joined the English club in January but was immediately loaned off to the Dutch club to gain experience and he is determined to make the most of the loan stint.
“It is every player’s dream to join a big team and Chelsea is amongst the biggest teams in the world,” began the 20-year-old defender.
Omeruo added: “The chance to play for Chelsea is a once in a lifetime chance and I am determined to grab it with both hands.
“Even though I am on loan here in Holland, I still get a feel of Chelsea during international weekends and other such breaks as we on loan players go to London to train with the rest of the squad who are not away on international duty.
“The atmosphere in the team is wonderful and a big encouragement to those of us seeking to play for the first team.
“Even here in Holland, I am having a wonderful time as Ado Den Haag is a wonderful place to develop.
“The coaching crew, players and fans are wonderful and this is an added incentive to give your best for the club.
“I am only here on loan, so my work is even harder as I have to impress the team here, and impress my owners in London, who will definitely send scouts around regularly to watch me.
“This will not be too much pressure on me, rather it will ginger me to play at my best every time and if I do this I can force myself into the Chelsea team and hopefully into the Super Eagles.”
