The Media Officer of Crown FC, Ogbomosho, Olatunji Alabi, on Thursday praised the efforts of the club’s striker, Barnabas Daniel, saying he could win the coveted golden shoe of the 2017/2018 Bet9ja Nigeria National League.
Alabi made the assertion about the highly dependable striker in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
NAN reports that the Crown FC striker, Daniel, found the back of the net again in the 8th minute in the Match Day 6 of the Bet9ja NNL fixture taking his goal tally to six.
The Southern Conference B2 fixture between Crown FC and Rovers FC was played at the Soun of Ogbomosho Stadium on Wednesday where the homers ran away with a lone goal win.
Alabi, however, was full of praise to Daniel for his prowess in front of goal thereby charging him to be the highest goal scorer of the league.
He said: “Barnabas Daniel has been consistent and I hope he will be the highest goal scorer at the end of the season.
“It was a hard fought victory against Rovers FC on Wednesday, but thank God for the goal that came in the 8th minute.”
NAN reports that with the victory, Crown FC now tops the table with 13 points from six matches with four wins, one draw and a loss.
Other results from the Southern Conference B2 had Stationery Stores defeat Dynamite Force FC, 2-1.
Delta Stars 1-1 Delta Force FC, Nnewi FC 1-0 Osun United FC.
In the Southern Conference B1, 3SC of Ibadan defeated Akwa Starlets 2-0.
