Premier League campaigner, Sharks of Port Hartcourt, have expressed fears as they travel to Maiduguri, Borno State for their Week 14 tie of the Nigeria Professional Football League against El Kanemi Warriors.
The team, according to a member of the club, who pleaded for anonymity, arrived Bauchi State on Tuesday morning, is still heading towards Maiduguri.
The source said: “We are not supposed to take all these risks in the first place but that’s one of the Nigerian factors.
“All phone networks were shut down in Maiduguri so you might not be able to reach in the next two days but this is a sad commentary for Nigerian football.”
