The Nigerian Communications Commission said it has completed the linkage of all phone numbers in the country to the National Identification Numbers of the owners.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Aminu Maida, revealed this on Thursday at the 2024 Annual Corporate Governance Conference.
At the conference held in Lagos, Maida stressed the significance of the NIN-SIM linkage.
He said: “We have recently concluded the implementation of the Federal Government’s 2020 policy of linking every phone number to a NIN.
