Following the nullification of the election of the Amaju Pinnick-led board, a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Appeal Committee, Dotun Coker, has labelled his Chairman, Barrister Okey Ajunwa, a comedian.
Coker, who with other members of the committee upheld the September 30 NFF Elective Congress held in Warri, Delta State, stated that the Committee chairman’s verdict hold no water as their final decisions have been communicated to the appropriate quarters.
His words: “The Appeal Committee took an exhaustive discussion on all the appeals and decisions have been made.
“So, I don’t know where the Committee Chairman got his on decisions from.
“How can only one person take a final decision is a committee of six?
“The man must be a comedian and he should stop fooling himself about.
“I’m sure he’s aware that his integrity is at stake in this matter.”
The Eagle Online on Wednesday reported that the committee unanimously threw Muazu Suleyman, Sani Fema and Leonard Igbokwe’s appeals into the trash can, citing various FIFA directives and congregational decisions that had taken care of the allegations against them.
All the members, except the Ajunwa, upheld the elections of Anyansi Agwu and Sherif Rabiu Inuwa.
They maintained that the Appellant lacks the locu standi to challenge the entire election, having contested as a member.
The Appeals Committee, with the exception of the chairman, upheld in its entirety the NFF 2014 Elective Congress held in Warri on September 30, 2014.
