NFF crisis: Dalung, Perm Sec, others in crucial meeting

The Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, is at present locked in a crucial meeting with top shots of the Ministry over the crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation.
The meeting is said to be holding in Dealing’s office.
One of those at the meeting is a Permanent Secretary, Christian Ohai.
They are said to be brainstorming on the way forward for the football house.
Sources told The Eagle Online that Dalung is expected to to issue a statement on the way forward later on Monday (today).
One of the options being considered, it was learnt, is the constitution of a body acceptable to the two parties to the crisis to run the affairs of the NFF until another election is held.
A source said: “An interim Board is very likely to emerge.
“Both sides are said to be holding tenaciously to their positions without willing to shift grounds.
“So it is very likely they will all lose out.
“The most important thing is not to get sanctioned by FIFA.”
Meanwhile, security has been further beefed up at the NFF headquarters in Abuja with the deployment of more policemen to the vicinity.
It was gathered that more staff have been allowed into the Glass House, as the NFF headquarters is popularly known.
Among those already in the Glass House are the NFF Secretary General, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi; the Director of Competitions, Bola Oyeyode; and the spokesman, Ademola Olajire.
They were allowed in after thorough screening.
None of the two leading contenders for the office of the president of the football body has been to the secretariat.
While Chris Giwa was said to have left for Jos, the Plateau State capital, to pick up the court papers to back up his position, Amaju Pinnick is also working with his lawyers to get a stay of execution order.
A Court in Jos had on Thursday given a ruling that has been interpreted by the two sides to the crisis to suit themselves.
Giwa had gone ahead on Sunday to issue a statement reconstituting the Board of the NFF.
However, one of those listed as a member of the Board, who sought for anonymity, distanced himself from the list.
He said they were not consulted before the list was made public.
He said as a civil servant, he cannot make any official pronouncement on the development.
