In spite of the resignation of the Coach of the Brave Warriors of Namibia, Roger Palmgren, the Super Eagles have vowed to remain focussed in their quest to pick the maximum points at stake in Wednesday’s 2014 world Cup qualifier.
The senior national team coordinator, Emmanuel Attah, in a brief chat stated that the action is of no consequence to the African Champions’ aspiration of qualify for the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
Instead of getting distracted, Attah hinted that the Stephen Keshi-tutored boys have continued with their build up for the crunch tie against Namibia on Wednesday.
He said: “We have intensified the team’s training and they actually had a session last night at the Independent Stadium. So, the resignation of the Namibian coach, Roger Palmgren, is of no consequence to us.
“The Eagles are focused for the match ahead and will not be distracted with happenings in the Namibian camp.”
The Nigeria Ambassador in Namibia paid a visit to the Super Eagles at the training session on Sunday, Attah said.
He equally hinted that the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Sports, Hon. Geofrey Gaya, will visit the team on Monday tonight.
