Some part of the N30.3 million extorted from a businessman kidnapped by policeman in Abuja have been recovered.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed this on Thursday.
The Eagle Online recalls that the policemen, who belong to the Special Tactical Squad of the Nigeria Police, kidnapped the businessman on one of his sites in January.

They took him to a location where they forced him to transfer all the money in his account to them.
Following a report of the incident, the policemen were arrested in February.
Expressing delight at the development, a user of X congratulated Adejobi, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, and demanded that the money should be recovered from the rogue policemen.
To this, the FPRO responded: “We have recovered some money from the men and their cohorts in the deal, including the affected POS operator(s).
“I have said it repeatedly that some POS operators connive with some of our operatives to extort Nigerians.
“If those operators stop connivance today, these corrupt practices will surely stop.
“The IGP has zero-tolerance for oppression, extortion, corruption, misconduct, etc.
“The journey of a thousand kilometres starts with a step.
“We shall reach that admired destination.
“We shall have that people friendly, competent, and loveable police force.”
