The Arinjale of Ise Ekiti in Ekiti State, Oba Adetunji Ajayi, has lauded the working alliance between the Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Peter Ayodele Fayose, and Prince Dayo Adeyeye, an Ise prince.
Adeyeye was one of the aggrieved governorship aspirants over the last party primary of the PDP, but later reconciled with Fayose
The Arinjale, who made his feelings known when Fayose in conjuction with Adeyeye paid him a courtesy visit at his palace on Friday during a ward to ward campaign tour of Ise/ Orun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, said that he was happy over the new found love and prayed it benefits the state.
According to a statement by Fayose’s spokesman, Idowu Adelusi, the monarch publicly acknowledged a personal relationship existing between him and Fayose.
He said he was happy over it.
Oba Ajayi however advised the politicians in all the political parties to shun violence and conduct their campaigns in a peaceful manner.
Earlier, Fayose, who was accompanied by other top PDP chieftains to the Arinjale’s palace, told the monarch that he had come to receive royal blessing.
He said that PDP administrations in Ekiti State have impacted positively on Ise, promising to do more if he becomes the governor.
His words: “Achievements of PDP administrations in this state speak volume and I also want to recall my support to you, Kabiyesi, and Ise/Orun and I promise to do more.
“Therefore, this is the time for pay back from Ise people and I expect block vote.
“I want you Kabiyesi to pray for a man who will bring development peace and prosperity to Ekiti and I am the man.”
Fayose assured Oba Ajayi that Adeyeye and his supporters would be accommodated in the government that he would form.
He also told the monarch that the working relationship between him and Adeyeye was already causing panic in the camp of the All Progressives Congress.
Fayose promised that Ekiti State’s ministerial slot will be given to Adeyeye.
