Mmadu craves for Falconets’ job

Former Super Falcons’ midfielder, Maureen Mmadu, has indicated her willingness in coach the national U-20 team, also known as the Super Falconets, The Eagle Online can exclusively report.
Mmadu, who is currently the Avaldsnes IL of Norway Team B assistant coach, tendered this offer during a brief chat with our correspondent on Wednesday.
With more than 100 appearances for the Nigeria women’s national football, the six-time African Women Championship winner believes that her wealth of experience in the game will go along way in assisting the national Under 20 team surpass its previous achievements on the continent and at the global level.
She said: “Coaching the Nigeria’s Under-20 team won’t be a bad idea if I’m invited to take up the appointment by the Nigeria Football Federation. I think I will be willing to serve my fatherland in such capacity.
“Though, I still have some urge for playing the game but I’m now a full time coach here in Norway. I organise training for girls between ages 12 and 18. I’m also players’ developer for my team and the whole district here, which comprises of five cities. So, Nigeria can tap into this and build a world class team that everyone will marvel of.”
