South Africa 2014 Nations Cup hero and Super Eagles midfielder, Sunday Mba, has emerged as the best Glo Premier League player in the national team, just as Kano Pillars’ Rabiu Ali is the player of the season.
The awards, organised by League Bloggers, is aimed at recognising excellence in the country’s local league players.
In other categories of the award, the League Champions, Kano Pillars, are Club of the Year; veteran league player, Victor Ezeji, was adjudged player of the decade; while Victor Namo of Nasarawa United, with 19 goals, was the highest goal scorer award winner.
The goal of the season goes to Brown Braye of Nembe City; former Rangers of Enugu coach, Okey Emordi, is the Manager of the Year for Africa; while his Kano Pillars counterpart, Baba Ganaru, is Coach of the Year.
Enyimba’s Femi Thomas won the Best Goalkeeper of the Season; Oghenekaro Etebo wins the Best Rookie of the Year; the Fair Play Award goes to El-Kanemi Warriors; as the Best New Goalkeeper went to Japhet Opubo of Nembe City
Meanwhile, Ex-Enyimba captain, Romanus Orjinta, was honoured as one of the top stars of the decade in the Premier League.
