Nigeria will have to avoid a toss of coin situation today by getting a result against Argentina to confirm status as a second round team in the ongoing World Cup.
There are various permutations as two teams, Nigeria and Iran, battle for the second ticket in Group F.
If the Super Eagles beat Argentina, Nigeria will go ahead to top group F with seven points and Argentina will finish in second position.
If the Eagles play a draw, the team will end up as second behind Argentina in the standings.
However, a defeat for Eagles and a big win with a two-goal margin in favour of Iran against Bosnia-Herzegovina could lead to an ouster for Nigeria.
But if Nigeria loses to Argentina and Iran also loses or draws against Bosnia, the Eagles will still move into the second round in second position.
Nigeria will meet France in Brasilia if the county finishes second and the Eagles will play in Sao Paulo to likely meet Switzerland if the team beats Argentina to top group F.
To be on the safe side, Nigeria needs a result against Argentina to confirm her place in the second round of the ongoing Mundial.
