A man, Adejumo Fatai, has been nabbed while using a fake Identity Card and two franchisee stickers of the Lagos State traffic Management Agency to steal a car in the early hours of Monday.
According to a viral video seen by The Eagle Online, the incident occurred around 6am in Somolu area of Lagos State.
The car, owned by a woman, got hooked to an electric pole, leading to Fatai needing help to free it.
It was while he was trying to get the car freed from the electric pole that a neighbour of the car owner spotted him and raised the alarm.
Fatai, who escaped from the scene of the incident, has, however, been arrested and handed over to the police.
The Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq, who confirmed the development, disclosed that the said driver of the towing vehicle was not an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
