Premier League giants, Liverpool, must cough out a whopping sum of £14.3 million (N4.2 billion) to sign on Moses Simon, a player dubbed the ‘Nigerian Ronaldo’.
Gent Technical Director, Michael Louwagie, insisted that any club willing to win their striker’s services must part with the said amount.
With 38 combined goals and assists in 52 games this year for AS Trencin in Slovakia and Gent, Simon’s form is impressing many.
It seems a matter of time before he will make a move to a big club and Gent are aware of the growing interest in their player and they won’t allow him to leave on the cheap.
Liverpool’s recent transfer policy is buying young players with potential to be good players for the club with a sell on value and Simon comes into that category, so it will be interesting to see if the Reds pursue their interest in the Nigerian starlet.
Simon,19, currently plays in the Belgian League for Gent but the player has such quality that he’s expected to earn himself a big move this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur and Fenerbahce are also linked but Liverpool are confident of securing a deal.
