Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority have confirmed that a fully loaded tanker rammed into six vehicles around Gbagada Bridge inward Ifako along Oshodi-Oworonsoki Expressway, Lagos on Thursday.
LASTMA’s Oduyebo Oluwole, Zebra, Zone 2, disclosed that the accident caused severe congestion for road users.
This was largely for those moving from the Third Mainland Bridge going towards Ifako by Oworonsoki Expressway.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the fully loaded tanker after losing control due to brake failure, rammed into six vehicles: three commercial vehicles, three private cars and one LASTMA bike, while descending Gbagada Bridge inward Ifako on the expressway.
