The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, on Friday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, at his Ilupeju residence.
Odumosu, who arrived at the house at 10:10am, was received by the wife, children and relations of the former Governor of Lagos State.
While commiserating with the family, the Government and good people of Lagos State, he described the late nationalist as a man of the people who had written his name in gold in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
The police boss affirmed that Pa Jakande’s death will create a vacuum in many spheres of our society, particularly in Lagos State.
He therefore prayed that God grants his family, the Government and the good people of Lagos State the fortitude to bear the loss and grant baba Al-janat Fiduas.
Odumosu then joined the pre-burial prayer for Jakande by Islamic clerics.
